Advanced Alternative Media -- the number one choice in independent marketing and college radio promotions nationwide since 1982. With a taste for the old and the new, AAM has established itself as the premier company for both exposing new talent and advancing known performers within a highly competitive market. AAM doesn't just break records, we establish artists.

Long known for our musical and artist sensitivity, AAM initially made its mark working with bands such as The Smiths, The Cure, Husker Du, Depeche Mode, and The Replacements. During recent years, the AAM college marketing/promotion staff has obtained an unprecedented number of #1 records, and has helped to further develop the careers of such diversified acts as Beck, Sonic Youth, Blur, Modest Mouse, Daft Punk, Spiritualized, Rocket From The Crypt, Morphine, Wilco, Elliott Smith, The Shins, The Walkmen, Iron and Wine, TV on the Radio, Massive Attack, Sleater-Kinney, PJ Harvey, Wu-Tang Clan, Boy Sets Fire, Aphex Twin, Sunny Day Real Estate, Weezer, REM, Luna, A Tribe Called Quest, Mojave 3, Beth Orton, At The Drive-In, Hot Hot Heat, Travis, The Make Up, The Flaming Lips and Stereolab.

Our success hinges on several factors. First and foremost, we have strong, deep-rooted relationships with over 500 college and community stations that we contact via weekly phone calls and e-mails. With three full-time promotion directors, we can assure maximum station coverage for each of our clients' releases. In addition to aggressively targeting college radio, AAM promotes to the major trade magazines and sets up tour marketing strategies -- including artist interviews, station performances, and on-air promotions--at no extra charge to our clients. Detailed tracking reports are emailed each week to our clients, outlining and explaining the status of each release at college radio. All reports contain specific information from the individual stations, as well as a comprehensive overview of that week's activity.

At AAM, we've been tailoring our service to our clients' needs since day one and we remain dedicated to providing only the very highest visibility for each and every one of our artists. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
